Cafe Royal is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Dishwasher, to join our culinary team. Multi-tasking is essential in ensuring that our kitchen & customer service operates smoothly while providing high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment. Able to do customer service and cash register.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety standards.
Support catering events by assisting with food setup and service as needed.
Help maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen.
Customer service take orders and run a register.
Multi-tasking is essential
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
Familiarity with culinary techniques such as knife skills and food preparation methods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
Experience in catering or as a dietary aide is a plus but not mandatory.
